RBI Update - International Trade Settlement in Indian Rupees (INR)

The RBI has allowed surplus balances in Special Rupee Vostro Accounts (SRVA), used for international trade settlement in INR, to be invested not only in Government securities and Treasury Bills but also in non-convertible debentures, bonds, and commercial papers issued by Indian companies, as per the guidelines and limits prescribed in the AP DIR Circular No.13 dated October 03, 2025. These instructions are effective immediately.
