RBI Update: Liquidity Adjustment Facility- Change in rates dated 8th February, 2023

Reserve Bank of India vide its Circular dated 8 th February, 2023 announced in the Monetary Policy Statement dated February 08, 2023, it has been decided by the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) to increase the policy repo rate under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) by 25 basis points from 6.25 per cent to 6.50 per cent ..

Further, standing deposit facility (SDF) rate and marginal standing facility (MSF) rate stand adjusted to 6.25 per cent and 6.75 per cent respectively and other terms and conditions of the extant LAF Scheme will remain unchanged.

This Circular is applicable to all Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) participants and shall come into immediate effect.
