SEBI Circular - Extension of timeline for implementation of SEBI Circular SEBI/HO/MIRSD/MIRSD-PoD/P/CIR/2025/0000013 dated February 04, 2025

Dear Colleagues,

SEBI vide its circular dated 29 th July, 2025 has extended the implementation timeline of its earlier circular dated 4 th February, 2025, which introduced a framework for safer participation of retail investors in algorithmic trading. Originally scheduled to come into effect from 1 st August, 2025, the implementation date has now been deferred to 1 st October, 2025 following industry representations seeking more time. Stock Exchanges are directed to notify members, update their systems and rules accordingly, and ensure compliance for smooth and disruption-free rollout.
