Updates under MCA as on 31st October 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 396 of the companies Act, 2013 , the Registrar of companies shall have jurisdiction in respect of Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union territory tf Ladakh, for the purpose of registration of companies and discharging the functions under the aforesaid Act. This shall come into force with effect from 31st October, 2019.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 454 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 20'13) read with the Companies (Adjudication of Penalties) Rules, 2014, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, published uide number S.O.831 (E), dated the 24th March, 2015, namely:

In the Table, against serial number 5 for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted, namely,

5 \"Registrar of Companies-cum Official Liquidator, Jammu Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union territory of Ladakh

This shall come into force with effect from 31st October, 2019.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 396 of the Companies Act, 2013 , the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, published on, dated the 3rd November,2015, in the said notification, against serial number (1), in column (2), for the entry , the following entry shall be substituted, namely:- \"States of Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Union territories of Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and National Capital Territory of Delhi.\".

This shall come into force with effect from 31st October, 2O19.
